Hoya Identities Abroad

Your identity & study abroad

We believe that there is value in study abroad for every Georgetown student, regardless of identity. When studying in a foreign country, certain aspects of your identity may become more obvious as you spend time within this new cultural context. We encourage you to use the resources that we have provided to prepare your study abroad journey and reflect on your identity while in your host culture. We hope that these pages will provide support for diversity and access issues before, during, and after study abroad. Study abroad is bound to challenge your perception of personal identity and lead to a stronger sense of self.
