Interested in obtaining a passport for international travel? Come to the OGE Passport Fair!

Your Passport to Study Abroad

Whether you are applying for your first passport or need to renew, the upcoming Passport Fair hosted by the Office of Global Education is the chance to get it all done without even leaving the Hilltop.  On November 17, representatives from the US Postal Service as well as the State Department will be on hand to collect and process passport applications.  You may sign up for an open slot on the booking page (new window).  (Walk-in applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis.)  While you wait, OGE advisors will be on hand to talk about opportunities to study abroad during the summer, semester, or academic year.

What to Bring

First time passport applicants must bring the following:

  • Original documents plus single-sided photocopies of:
    • Proof of Identification (normally a driver’s license or state ID)*
    • Proof of citizenship (normally a birth certificate)*
  • You must also provide single sided photocopies showing the front and back of each ID )
  • Passport photos (can be taken at the event – see below for cost)
  • Fees (Money Orders/Checks/Credit Cards accepted):
    • Passport fee: $110
    • Execution Fee $25
    • Passport Photos: $15

Funding:

The Office of Global Education is offering Passport Scholarships to cover the cost of the passport, execution, and photo fees.  This scholarship is intended for students who are applying for their first passport for whom the associated fees would be an economic hardship.  Scholarship applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.  In order to receive funding, awardees must apply for their passport in person during the Passport Fair on November 17th, where they must provide the original documentation listed above.
